The Porsche Cayenne luxury crossover is mid-sized and designed for those who want a sporty, upscale, but practical vehicle. The Porsche Cayenne was first introduced to the market in 2003. The 2018 model year marked the beginning of the third generation.


The Porsche Cayenne is a great choice if you are looking for a vehicle that is both sporty and utilitarian. The Porsche Cayenne is a fun car to drive. The Cayenne S includes everything in the base trim plus Titanium Grey brake discs and a panoramic roof.

A Sport Chrono Package is available for these trims. It adds an analog or digital stopwatch, mode switch at the steering wheel, Sport Plus driving modes, customizable driving modes, Sport Response Button and launch control as well as other performance-oriented features. The Premium Package includes luxuries such as ambient lighting, front seat heaters and lane change assistance.

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo’s standard equipment includes 21-inch wheels, adaptive suspension, white brake discs, 14-speaker Bose surround audio system, Alcantara roofliner, heated and power-adjustable steering column, brushed aluminum interior trim and rear seat heaters.

The Cayenne EHybrid comes with 19-inch wheels, a tire sealant and electric compressor, Acid Green brakes calipers and universal charger for 240V or 120V charging. Porsche Car Connect: E Mobility Services, a 3.6 kW onboard charge, and auxiliary cabin conditioning.

These trims can also be upgraded to the Premium Package Plus, which includes Comfort Access, 4-zone climate control, Comfort Access and front seat ventilation. It also has auto-dimming mirrors and a Bose surround sound.

Cayennes come with a $58,000 factory invoice for a base model, and an MSRP of $66,000. The MSRP of the Cayenne is increased by approximately $15,000 with the S trim level, and $42,000 with the Turbo. The MSRP for the E-Hybrid is approximately $80,000. Remember that becoming a member will get you an upfront price quote from your Certified Dealer. Performance and Engine

The Cayenne offers a wide range of powertrain options. The base trim features a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 that produces 335 horsepower and 332 Lb.-ft. An 8-speed Tiptronic s transmission is mated to it, with both manual and automatic actuation. Porsche claims that the crossover can reach speeds of 152 mph and can go from 0-60 mph in just 5.9 seconds.

The crossover’s twin-turbo, 2.9-liter V-6 produces a healthy 434 horsepower as well as 406 lb.ft. of torque. The same 8-speed Tiptronic transmission is used. Porsche claims a 0-60 acceleration time of 4.9 seconds, and a top speed at 164 mph.

The Cayenne Turbo features a 4.0-liter twin turbo V-8 engine with 541 horsepower, 568 lb.ft. of torque and 541 horsepower. It can charge from 0-60 in 3.9 seconds, and hits 178 mph.

E-Hybrid trims feature a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6, paired with EMachine electric motors. This gives it a maximum 455 horsepower and a massive 516 lb.ft. of torque. Porsche claims the E-Hybrid can go 0-60 in 4.7 seconds, and reach 157 mph.


There are many interior color options: Black, Slate Grey and Black/Mojave Beige.

The interior is clean and modern, with very few physical controls. The buttons and switches are only for the most commonly used features. The infotainment screen can be found high up on the dash and is easy to find. You can adjust the layout of the gauge cluster to your liking.

Porsche only uses premium materials in its Cayenne. You won’t touch anything that feels cheap. Porsche is known for its high quality craftsmanship. The rear and front seating areas can accommodate tall adults. The seats are well-padded and supportive. They also have excellent contouring. Cayenne’s cargo area is large, making it very practical.
